My mission is to make work better for everyone.

To bring that to life, I specialise in two main areas:

  • Internal communications

  • Careers mentoring

  • As an Internal Communications professional, I work as a Business Partner, Project Manager and Copywriter

I love working on communications that engage colleagues and impact the things that matter most: colleagues’ belief in your strategy, and their advocacy for you as an employer. Ultimately it’s about making people happier at work.

Whether it’s devising a comms strategy, project managing the delivery of a campaign, editing videos, writing copy from scratch or organising events, I can help.

I’ve worked with the likes of Barclays, Deutsche Bank, Jaguar Land Rover and National Grid on internal communications, talent attraction and employee engagement projects.

  • As a Careers Mentor, I work with university students to help them prepare for the world of work

Through the University of Exeter’s Career Mentor Scheme, I mentor students who are interested in working in the areas I have most experience in: marketing project management, copywriting, editing and proofreading.

We discuss the pros and cons of freelancing vs employment or self-employment, sharpen their CVs and LinkedIn profiles, and share networking tips or job application strategies. My job is to help mentees feel confident in their capabilities.

In 2022, I was nominated by one mentee for the Debbie Hill Award for exceptional support of students for my mentoring services.

  • As a Content Creator, I shared expert ideas and resources to make work better for everyone

I spent six years sharing career tools and advice with ambitious early and mid-career professionals. Because life’s too short to be miserable at work.

In 2018 I launched the More From My Career (MFMC) website, which provided career shifters with market insights, useful resources, and expert guidance, empowering them to create a more fulfilling career. The site was home to a wide collection of career change books, podcasts, videos and communities.

Between 2020 and 2024, I wrote a fortnightly newsletter to share fresh ideas and coaching questions to further support young professionals’ career development.
